Adler Planetarium
After my NSF fellowship at the Adler Planetarium, I continued to volunteer there until leaving Chicago in 2016. I was often found in the Doane Observatory at Adler After Dark and other special events. I also did special tours of the observatory and planetarium for Chicago State students and faculty.
Project Exploration
I loved working with Project Exploration, a science education organization that focuses on city kids and girls. My students and I participated in their outreach trainings and have volunteered in their after school program for girls, Sisters for Science. I met my high school intern, K'Maja Bell, through this wonderful organization!
